But not one of those product pages answers the question that actually saves your spigot on a given night: is tonight the night my yard drops below freezing? The hardware protects the pipe. A frost-proof spigot solves the pipe, not the timing
A frost-free (or frost-proof) hose bib is a clever bit of plumbing.
