Works with Claude & ChatGPT

An AI assistant that actually knows your garden

Siltwell has a built-in connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, your assistant answers from your real beds, plantings, frost dates, and journal — and can log things for you. Free, on every Siltwell account.

What can I still plant in the empty half of the cedar bed?
Your cedar bed's lettuce wraps up around Aug 20, and your first frost is estimated around Oct 6 — so there's still a window for spinach, radishes, or arugula. Want me to add spinach to the plan for that spot?
Yes — and log that I picked 2 lb of tomatoes this morning.
Done. Spinach is planned for the cedar bed, and a 2 lb tomato harvest is in your journal for today.

Illustrative conversation — the answers come from your garden's actual beds, dates, and journal, not canned examples.

Why it's different

Generic AI gives generic advice.

Ask a chatbot when to plant spinach and you'll get an answer for an average garden in an average year. Connected to Siltwell, the same question is answered from your data: your beds and what's in them, your zone and frost dates, what you planted last season, and what your journal says actually happened.

It's not a chatbot bolted into the app — it's your own assistant, wherever you already use it, with your garden as context.

Setup

Connected in about two minutes.

  1. In Siltwell, open Settings → Claude connector and copy your connector link.
  2. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste it. (ChatGPT and other assistants with custom-connector support work the same way.)
  3. Sign in with your Siltwell account and approve access. No API keys, nothing to install — and you can disconnect from your assistant's settings anytime.

What it can do

It reads your garden — and takes notes when you ask.

It can see

  • Your beds, layout, and what's planted where
  • Your planting plan and season timeline
  • Journal events, harvest totals, and history
  • Your forecast, frost dates, and station readings

It can do

  • Log events and record harvests as you mention them
  • Add, move, or update plantings and beds
  • Plan what to sow next and set care schedules
  • Even set up a new garden or connect a station

Twenty-nine tools under the hood — and every change it makes lands in your journal and timeline like anything you'd log yourself, so nothing happens invisibly.

Your data

Your garden stays yours.

Access is granted by you, to your account, through a normal sign-in — the assistant never sees your password. It's part of the free tier and stays that way, and as always: your data is yours to export or delete, and we don't sell it.
