AcuRite shut down My AcuRite. Your garden weather deserves a better home.
On May 30, AcuRite retired the app and moved your station's data to a new platform, with no open way to get it into the tools you actually use. Siltwell is a fresh start: free garden planning and weather-aware care today, plus a simple, open upgrade path to the per-bed soil and frost intelligence AcuRite never offered.

You bought a weather station. Then they took the app.
"My AcuRite" is gone, replaced by "AcuRite NOW," and there's still no open way to pull your own readings into anything else. If you were using your station to make decisions in the garden, that just got harder. It's a good reminder of why open data matters: your garden shouldn't depend on someone else's app sticking around.

Honest upgrade path
Want the per-bed magic AcuRite never did? Here's the open path.
The feature AcuRite never offered, per-bed soil moisture that tells you exactly which beds to water and which to skip, needs a station with soil sensors and open data. AcuRite has neither. The fix is refreshingly cheap: an Ecowitt gateway plus a wireless soil probe. Ecowitt has an open API (your data stays yours), modular soil sensors you can add one bed at a time, and Siltwell reads it natively — then calibrates frost warnings to your own backyard.
"Can Siltwell read my AcuRite directly?"
Honestly, no, and not for lack of trying. AcuRite doesn't offer an open API, and it has no soil-moisture sensor. We'd rather tell you straight and show you a path that actually works than pretend otherwise. That's kind of the whole point of Siltwell: no dark patterns, no lock-in, your data is yours.
