Who we are

Siltwell is operated by Siltwell, LLC. You can reach us at hello@siltwell.com. These terms apply to siltwell.com, app.siltwell.com, and the Siltwell mobile apps.

Your account

You need an account to use Siltwell, and you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Don't use Siltwell to break the law, to attack or overload our systems, or to scrape it wholesale.

Your garden data

Your beds, plantings, photos, harvests, and journal entries belong to you. You grant us only the permission we need to store and display them back to you and to anyone you invite to your garden. We don't sell your data. Details of what we collect and why live in our privacy notice. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your gardens and their contents.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Siltwell has a free tier that does not expire. Siltwell Pro is billed yearly and begins with a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel before it ends; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the term you've paid for runs out. Where we've offered a founding price, it stays at that price for as long as your subscription remains active.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple and managed in your App Store account, under Apple's terms. Purchases made on the web are billed through Stripe and managed from Settings.

What our guidance is, and isn't

Siltwell's frost dates, watering guidance, planting windows, and growing-degree estimates are derived from public weather data, climate averages, and — if you connect one — your own weather station. They're informed estimates about a chaotic system. Weather can and will surprise both of us. Use your judgement before acting on anything Siltwell tells you, especially where a frost could cost you a crop.

Siltwell is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost plants, lost harvests, or other losses arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the previous twelve months.

Weather-station brands named on this site are trademarks of their owners; Siltwell works with their hardware and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of any of them.

Changes and ending service

We may update these terms as Siltwell changes; we'll update the date at the top, and for material changes we'll tell you in the app or by email. We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service or puts other gardeners at risk. If you disagree with a change, you can cancel and export or delete your data.
